Mission Statement

 

We, the undersigned citizens of the Township of Lehigh, County of Northampton, State of Pennsylvania, are convinced of the necessity of establishing an institution for the safety and welfare of our fellow citizens, and to enlarge our social relations to be derived from a well-regulated Fire Company. The object and purpose of this Company shall be that of extinguishing fire, the furtherance of fire prevention, the rendering of first-aid to the sick and injured, and to cooperate with other agencies in time of need, rendering whatever aid is deemed necessary to alleviate the suffering of our fellow citizens.


 
 
 

The Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company # 1

is located in Cherryville Northampton County Pennsylvania. We are 100% Volunteer, and have a fire duty squad of 50 active Fire Personnel and 9 Fire Police. We protect over 10,000 residents, in a area of 30 square miles with 120 miles of roadways. We respond on a average of 391 emergencies a year.

 
 
 

 
We are always looking for pictures or anything to do with the history of the fire company, we turned 71 this year and have gaps and voids in our history. We ask if you have or know anyone with photos to contribute to please let us know. Look us up on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LTVFC
A RED FLAG WARNING will be issued when humidity is below 30% and wind speeds are above 15mph for 2 hours straight. A RED FLAG WARNING is a extreme weather condition issued by the National Weather Service, and will prohibit outdoor burning in Lehigh Township under the rules of the burning ordinance section 330(b).
